ACT on the Move.....
Greetings All,
I hope all is great! I know I have not posted in ages....I am going to do better! :-) I was updating my bio for a NABA article I am going to be featured in and I thought I should post it to give people some insight on what I have been doing these past couple of years and where I am headed. It was a bit overwhelming to read because I couldnt believe I had actucally did all this stuff for other organizations and neglected so many things I wanted to do for ME. My take away from this activity is ..... now it is time for me to use that energy on things that will make me happy and make a difference in new ways that I would like to ....so here it is..
BE INSPIRED,
ACT.

Release Your BEaST in 2012
Greetings with Inspiration,
It has been a very long time since I posted …WOW. Happy New Year! Happy belated…Kwanzaa…Christmas..Hannakah…all of that J I hope you all enjoyed your holiday season and I wish you much prosperity in 2012. I am excited about this new year. I am embarking on a new journey of releasing my BEST. Over the last few weeks, I have explored things that I have always wanted to do but life was hindering me from exploring my true passions.
Since my last post, I started piano lessons, voice lessons, did my first photoshoot , several modeling and acting castings, started several business ventures, been singing everywhere….and most importantly I have been working on the launch of a 100 school inspirational tour and online TV show associated with my nonprofit venture. I have attended stellar events and met some amazing people who continue to point me in the right direction. I am extremely grateful for how this journey is unfolding and I am thankful to all those that have shown love and support.
I have learned that life is too short to spend it veering away from your purpose and passions. That is what this new journey is about for me …ANYthing..I have ever wanted to do in my life …I am doing it!
I have two shows coming up that I would love to have your support. Contact me for ticket information.
Febrary 4th - Seeing is Believing – Gospel Play
February 10th – For Better of Worse – Gospel Play
Until next time ….Release the BEaST!

On a mission to Inspire .....
Greetings With Inspiration,
Today, I ended a 4.5 year career at one of the best places to work in the world. I have had some of the greatest experiences of my life over the past few years. I have learned a lot about myself and the world. As a result of my experiences and most recently Project Destiny, I know what my purpose is in life. I was born to Inspire people. I am excited about pursuing that purpose by using all of my talents to inspire people as ACT ( my trademark) and beginning a movement by starting a nonprofit. To those that know me, I have talked for many years about starting a nonprofit and God has let me know that the time is now. People have been asking a lot of questions regarding this new move trying to understand where I am going with all of this. To put it simply…as crazy as it may sound…I am going to put every talent I have in motion to inspire others and build a platform for what I will call now the “GI” movement….Generations Inspired!
Over the next few months, I will be building up the brand of ACT. What is ACT.? It was first my initials but what I want it to mean to the world is to be Ambitious, Courageous , & Talented…don’t let any thing intrude on how amazing you could be! Now how will I build up the brand of ACT? I will use all of my gifts…..I will sing, act, model, write , motivate and speak every chance I can! In my nonprofit pursuits, I want to couple my corporate success with my ACT success to be a prime example of what you can do when you believe! I will be tweeting (@akilahcthompson and keeping my blog updated to let you follow me on this journey. I am in the process of doing a lot of research and meeting with people to strategize on how best to tackle this new endeavor of starting “GI.” I will be unveiling GI and seeking assistance though surveys and seeking volunteers over the next 30 days.
There is a lot of other things in the making so please keep me in your prayers. I will need help from every direction you can think of for my ACT and GI pursuits. If I call on you , please make an investment in me and most importantly those that need to be inspired J
Have a Happy Thanksgiving! And Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Mom!!! I am most thankful for this task that God has chosen me for, how he has prepared me for it and most importantly how he has given me a wealth of supporters. I am so ready !
Be Inspired,
ACT.
